To be honest, I don’t pay much attention to the National Lottery but this weekend I happened to hear that it was a bigger deal than normal – a four-week rollover no less. I checked with Mrs Baldwin that she was in possession of a ticket and then forgot all about it. I didn’t watch the draw either but then to be fair I never watch it because, if I am honest, it’s crap TV.
When Mrs Baldwin checked the tickets and then announced that we had won, there was a split second of anticipation...
…and then back to reality!
We had won a share of the jackpot but unfortunately our stake only amounted to a less than life changing £10.
On the bright side, a win is of course better than the regular weekly loss.
Back to work yesterday as normal.
